Sitara Hewitt is a Canadian actress with Pakistani descent, most commonly known for her role

Sitara features her Mother’s traditional Chana Curry (also known as Chickpea Curry) recipe
using Maywah spices. She specifically uses Maywah Foods famous Ground Garam Masala, along
with Maywah Foods Turmeric and Black Pepper in this Chana curry recipe.

Ingredients for 4 servings of Chana Curry:
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch (2 1/2 cm) piece of ginger, peeled and grated,
- 2 tablespoons Maywah's Garam Masala
- 1 teaspoon Maywah's Turmeric
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Maywah's Black Pepper
- 2 cups fresh tomato, diced
- 15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed 2 cans
- ½ cup water
- ½ lemon, juiced
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
